My guess is that you are looking for ways to generate leads for your business and maybe you’ve heard that article marketing is a fantastic way to get targeted leads that will convert well. You have heard correctly. This is a wonderful way to generate leads and it requires certain fundamentals that when applied, makes valuable articles to work for you well into the future as long as the information remains valid.
Article marketing for leads came to my attention when I clicked on a link provided at the end of the article in order to contact the Author. The Author had a link promoting a business opportunity within the network marketing industry but it wasn’t the company that peaked my interest, it was the Author and his knowledge of the subject matter. This is the main point of article marketing and why it works so well; you as the author become the attraction, not your product, service, or business opportunity.
Article marketing is a method used for what is today referred to as Attraction Marketing. The key to writing an effective article is to always keep in mind a solution for the reader or target audience. Always provide valuable content for the reader and you will “attract” them to you.
There are six components to effective marketing articles:
1. Research your content. Type in Google or some other search engine the keywords you will eventually use and confirm your original content. Do not cut and paste someone else’ work. Take the time to be original; you will increase your value.
2. Make sure that your article is between 500-700 words. The attention span of today’s internet reader is small, especially for marketing articles.
3. Focus on one and only one topic. If you try to cover more than one topic you will not be able to give much value within 500 to 700 words. Stay focused and on topic.
4. Tell a personal tale to endear the reader and make them feel you are genuine; a friend giving excellent advice. This is vital. People will really feel you have valuable experience.
5. Always review your articles before publishing to make sure that there is value in the content. Look at it impartially. Imagine you want what your title is saying the article delivers. Does the article deliver the intent? Give as much value as you possibly can.
6. Once you have a decent article, the next step is to make an author’s resource box that provides a call to action. If this step isn’t done right, your fantastic article won’t proveid a avenue for becoming a lead. The resource box should start as if it were a continuation of the article. The keyword should be hyperlinked to the source article on your website. If you do not have a blog or website, you may consider making one and posting your articles there for website ranking. SEO is another subject; but, if you do not have a website now, hyperlink to your landing page. Continue with the resource box paragraph and offer more information regarding the subject matter to your landing page. You will pull leads!
